President Trump has Dinner with European Business Leaders

Now, Punit Renjen from Deloitte thanks President Trump for having them in behalf of 265,000 employees across the globe and 70,000 in the United States. Mark Schneider, CEO of Nestle, says that they employ 50,000 people in the United States, where they operate 77 plants. Trump asks Schneider about their primary product. Schneider answers that coffee, infant nutrition, water, and pet food. Mr. Schwab says that the World Economic Forum is a very business-driven approach to global cooperation. He says that they create coalitions between governments, businesses, and also the young generation to ensure a pragmatic approach in global governance.

After that, Rajeev Suri from Nokia says that they are the leading telecom networks company in the world. He says that they have half of the acquisition of Alcatel-Lucent. He says that they own Nokia Bell Labs, New Jersey. Next, Martian Lundstedt, President of the Volvo group, says that they are the proud owners of Mack trucks, which are 100 percent made in the United States. Mr. Rorsted from Adidas informs that they just opened a fully automated shoe plant in the state of Georgia and Atlanta. Next, Werner Baumann, CEO of Bayer, remarks that in the future, it will be known as the company that is formally the aspirin company. He adds that Aspirin is a $1.4 billion company. He informs that they are going to invest about $16 billion as R&D investment in crop alone.

Mark Tucker from HSBC states that their business in the U.S. began in 1865. He says that they are the largest foreign bank in the United States. He adds that they have a balance sheet of $2.6 trillion and a market capital of around $250 billion. Next, Patrick Pouyanne, CEO of Total, remarks that it is the fourth-largest oil and gas company in the world. He adds that they are investing in an energy plant in Louisiana to export gas from the U.S. After that, Heinrich Hiesinger, CEO of Thyssenkrupp, says that they are strongly localized in the U.S. in elevator engineer automotive.

Eldar Saetre, CEO of Statoil, says that they are engaged both in the onshore, offshore, trading extensive trading business, and also renewables, primarily in solar, but offshore wind. Next, Mr. Narasimhan, CEO of Novartis says that they focus on innovative medicines, generics, and eye care. He adds that they invest about $14 billion every year into the United States, including $3.5 billion in research. Mr. Spiesshofer, ABB, says that they have a business in more than 100 countries of the world. After that, Mr. Mcdermott, says that SAP is the leading enterprise sulfur company. He states that they have 90,000 people around the world. President Trump says that they have done incredible work and incredible jobs. He states that these are some of the great companies of the world.
